These German army surplus pup tents are genuine Bundeswehr issue. They are a middleweight canvas material that are reversible, so one side is flecktarn camo and the other is olive green. You havetwo tents in one! This style if tent is known as a pup tent, the two sides are buttoned together to make a triangular shelter, this saves weight as an individual soldier only has to carry one half of the tent, then 'buddy up' with another to create a whole shelter.

The Hood accessory is designed to be used when the individual is using their half as a poncho - it also acts at an additional water-proofing topper for the ridge ends above the poles, but order two if you want to do this.
