Medieval Tunic "Ulf the Watcher"
Linen knee-length short-sleeved overtunic
Fundamentally, there are many approaches to clothing design, in particular medieval and fantasy costume design. ArmStreet is and always was a company that creates vivid and recognizable characters, always trying to tell a story with every detail of our garbs and gear. This tunic is no exception when it comes to quality and attention to details, but the whole idea of the "Fireside Family" collection is to create clothing that leaves enough room for your creativity and your character development.
We, and our customers, also needed a "basic" medieval collection, something that relates to the early middle ages the way our "Viking" collection connected to the "Old Norse" costume and armour and everything else. This tunic has a clear XI-XII century silhouette. With its wide V-neck and short sleeves, it will work great both as a stand-alone tunic and as an overtunic worn over a lighter shirt. Short sleeves with deep slits will make your day if the one is hot. Simple fabric bordering will underline that you are not just a simpleton wearing the most basic costume and at the same time won't be too loud and flashy. As an option, consider choosing the border's colour similar to the main fabric and make your costume even more modest.
Anyway, this tunic is a pretty universal early middle ages men's clothing. With some little accents and layering it allows you to switch the look from the almost formal costume with undertunic, belt and other accessories to the garb people used as their everyday clothing for all the types of chores and activities, from farming to hunting, scouting and war. So does "Ulf the Watcher" so just watch it!
Please note that while this listing is for the tunic, there is also a belt available for purchase separately.
